Welcome to the email list for the surname Papineau

This list is intended to give people doing genealogical research on the surname Papineau a place to share information.

There are currently 4 distinct lines descended from Papineau's that I have found to date.

the descendants of:

1. Jean Testard (my line)
2. Samuel Papineau (ancestor of the Canadian revolutionary Louis Joseph Papineau)
3. Jacob Papineau (the British Line)
4. Jean Papineau (Huguenot refugee who's descendants changed the name to Popenoe/Poppino)
