| Who was
Horus? |
| The Cow Goddess? |
 |
You
may have to wait a few seconds for the answer to appear. |
| A UNIX based sophisticated group communication
system? |
 |
| Have a Web page? |
 |
| Does it have a
Masonic lodge named after it? |
 |
| A Surgical Logbook
and Possum Scoring system designed to be used by all surgeons? |
 |
| The Sky God? |
 |
|
 |
The Falcon (Sky) God, Horus.
One eye is the sun, the other the moon. |
 |
Here is Paul showing you
the bird.
A different bird. This one has
the crown of upper and lower Egypt. It also looks a little plumper,
more like a squab. |
 |
The
Great Pylon of the Temple of Horus is shown to the left. A close up of Horus from the right
side of the door. The figure to the far right in the picture to the
left is a Pharaoh making an offering to Horus.

This is going to be hard,
but stick with me. Let's try to put the pieces into the total
picture. Take the Great Pylon, shown to the left, tip it up straight
and push it back against the diagram of the whole temple. That's
where it fits in real life. |
| These are six of the twelve
columns shown as circles above. |
 |
 |
The entrance to the
Hypostyle hall is shown to
the left. Tip it up straight, push it straight up into the
courtyard, and shove it against the room with the twelve circles.
That's where it goes. |
|
|
That
was difficult, but worth it. |

| Here is one of the Sun
boats used to ferry the Pharaoh across the sky to the after life. |

|
|
The cute one is Carol, the fat one is Paul. The size
of the people behind us gives some idea of the enormity of the Pylon. |
