Egypt

Amenophis III (1408 to 1372)

His likeness was immortalized in 1350 BC with these statues.  They are 64 feet tall and originally sat in front of a huge mortuary temple built for him.

Two ugly statues

Amenophis was married to the daughter of the king of Babylonia and the daughter of the king of Mitannians.  Makes you wonder what was wrong with the local girls? Ugly? Feet like a camel?  What?

The temple was destroyed and the statues were damaged by the earth quake of 27BC. Ugly, but big
These statues each weigh about the same as 1300 VW Beetles
